Help something is killing my bantams "graphic pics"

I have confirmed it was a hawk. Went out about an hour later to let the kids free range and the dead carcas was gone. I had put the carcass on top of one of the posts and it disappeared. My DH will be putting up some netting tonight and Thursday the hardware cloth will be installed. Once again thank you for all your help.

i would look at your height of your highest chicken standing up and and then the hardware coth about a foot above their height . but i would do the net on top first. also i would leave my babies inside of the coop until the cover is on the pen or i would sit in pen with them with a shot gun

Agree. CDs have not been useful to me, which is a pity since I hung about 50 of them around.

So sorry for your loss. That was a beautiful bantam.

Look's like a hawk attack to me.I have 2 here and

..They have made off with some smaller graduated bird's but I still have some OEGB's that free range.Hawk's will pluck at prey they can't get off the ground if given time.Think one even killed my daughter's kitten.I lost one of my best Cochin hen's a few years ago to a Redtail. But think He flew into a tree also and broke his neck. Grrrrrrr. They are fast.If you are home during the day with bird's listen for the rawrrrr from the chicken's they usualy alert to predator's. I dunno what kind these 2 are they are large grey one's. I got lot's of tree's waiting for the dummie's to hit their head's on while dive bombing!
