My almost week old Kaki Duckling has something wrong with it, and I don't know what to do!!!

This afternoon my wife noticed that his bumb hole seems to be poking out a bit (looks kinda like a little pink dounut) It had some foam coming out of it a bit ago. He can't sit down because it hurts him.

Is there anything we can do to help poor "Wobbles"?? "Wobbles" got off to a rough start, but has seemed totally fine untill today.

Thanks

Never had your problem, sorry, but I'd make a very shallow sink of warm Epsom salts, let your duckling sit in for awhile, take it out to warm and dry spot, give vitamins in water and slightly moistened feed. I'd certainly leave that area alone def don't touch it for goodness sake!

Thank Holly! It's still doing ok, and I just got back from the store with some E-Salts! I will be watching another thread HELP!!!!!!!! She is going through the exact same thing we are (Gonna be a long night for both of us!!!))

Thanks again, this is a graet forum, glad I found it!

Remember not to let baby drink the E.s. water - it's a laxative.

And I would get some probiotics, too. A teaspoon of yogurt (unflavored, with live culture) in half a cup of warm water if your poultry vitamins don't have probiotics.

Thanks for all the help! Wobbles has seemed to recovered, although His (Her??) bum is still a little pronounced, it looks to be 90% retracted (is that right??? Hmmm...)

We gave Him a couple Epsom salt soaks a day, rubbed olive oil on his bum with a Q-tip, and put apple cider vinigar in the duck water. Seems to have worked!

Thanks again!
