HELP! Sour crop!

So, the miconazole/Monistat. Suppositories and cream, which one do you think would be more effective faster? the cream? but then would it leave her system faster as well? I realize they would have to be consumed orally. These "pills" broken into 1/3 still look large.

I've used the cream.

If she has a yeast infection, there is a good chance that it's not just in her crop, but also in her mouth and esophagus. I believe that Monistat will only work on the areas that it touches.

Can you call your vet and ask him to prescribe a proper anti-fungal like Nystatin or Diflucan? If you're near Canada, you can get Diflucan OTC.

Ok, well i'lll use the two medicines in conjunction w each other and pray for good results. I will drain her crop if I have to. I have a syringe w a tube on the end. I'd hate to put that down her throat : /
Her crop is smaller now after our vet drained it of course not too squishy not too firm. She tells me her crop hurts when I pick her up. I can hear her crop gurgling and making sounds.

How do you administer a tablet to a chicken who won't eat? Should pulverize it and mix it w the keifer syringe?

I will call and ask the vet if he can prescribe one of the two but I'm not sure if he will.
Do you believe that the minconazole suppository will not do as well if it were orally ingested?

I read that the nystatin is a liquid, is that true? Are there other forms?

Yes I saw that online but is it readily available at a pet store maybe? We live in a smaller town so getting my hands on these things is not easy.
Can I buy it from the pharmacy if her doctor prescribes it? Where else can I but faster than online? Anywhere?

Looks like I can buy it at cvs and Walgreens and those other drug stores!!!! Yay!! I'm going now! I don't imagine she needs the diflucan if she had the nystatin.

I searched it and it showed at Walgreens it is it. :)

I'll be checking back often w more questions.
Thank you thank you for everything.
