I bought a red light today at Orscheln (their Country Tuff brand) and I didn't notice the "splatterproof" on the box until I went to check them one more time before going to bed. The box was still on the counter and there it was:
"SPLATTERPROOF! Hardened Pyrex R glass designed not to shatter if contacted by liquids."
I unplugged it an went straight online to see if I could find out if this was the dangerous kind. Does anybody know if "splatterproof" is safe? I'm not sure if I should switch back to a clear bulb or not. I will if I have to, but wow, they keep me up all night cheeping!
