You could also tack big rat traps as high as you can up the tree and bait it with corn or something... Might want to make sure that's legal there first though...

I don't have to worry about squirrels getting my pears anymore.

Because my dog Blackie has devoloped a grudge against squirrels this past spring. You should see her chasing those annoying squirrels!!! It's like she finally realized that the pear tree is MINE!!!

Just kidding...I actually do wild-life rescue and am raising a squirrel--I've had her since she was a day old and she's now 5 months! Her name is Squirt!

I'll have to post pics!!! She's my sweetie-pie!
