Hawks are the absolute worst. I would have to stand outside whenever I let my hens out, because if I left, the hawks would make their move. I would have to shoo the chickens back in the coop and scare the hawk away as soon as I saw it. Once, a massive Red Tail nabbed two of my hens at once! Thankfully it dropped them, but as you can imagine I got a pair of dogs afterwards! My lovely chicken-guard doggos.

I have had issues with hawks in the past too and tried several things. Good luck and have fun with your flock...
