Help - Stopped getting email subscription notifications - unsubscribing???

I get a email for thread updates every once in a while, but I do get ones for PMs. Its a good thing there is a subsription page now, so I can see if any threads have been upated. I mostly use my phone to get on BYC and cant always use the sub page because its harder to use the new site on my DRIOD3.

I'm having the same issue - no email notifications of new posts on the threads. Started late last week. I use yahoo mail for BYC. I went into my personal area here and changed my notifications, saved it, then the next day I changed it back to "immediate". Still nothing. I received notification of the one PM from the weekend..............still nothing from the threads, and it is frustrating to go to one and find out there have been dozens and dozens of posts, then try to back through the pages to find where I was before.
Hope this gets fixed soon!

We're still looking into this, but in the interim, a bit of clarification on some of the differences with this system:

Under "edit my subscriptions" when you scroll down you'll see this option for auto-pausing. By default, auto-pausing is on. What this means is that when you log off of the site or become inactive for a period of time, you stop getting all immediate updates. You'll get one immediate update per forum per day, and your regular daily digests, but not every single immediate subscription. This was added to keep users from being overwhelmed with email when they aren't on the site, like checking their email and having 150 updates after they've been offline for a few hours.

Here's a screenshot (click for larger)

The wording is vague at best and the option is negatively stated, which is sort of backwards (we'll try to clean up the wording a bit).

From our engineers: "If users turn this option off, they should begin getting all their notifications. This would explain why some users show up as receiving email just fine (no bounce/error/blacklist) but sporadically seem to be "missing" notifications from their subscriptions. This only effects immediate subscriptions, not digests or moderator notifications."

Could some of you give this a try and let us know if it helps?

I've checked the "Don't pause" on auto-pause. I'll let you know ....

It didn't help. I received one notification on a new thread I started but nothing on the already subscribed threads that had been updated. (But at least I'm REALLY learning how to check out this problem and how it applies in MY situation!!!!!

I have been logging on from different computers and not paying attention that the "remember me" box is checked, so I have been "logged on" from three different computers. I typically only close the window when I leave BYC. Earlier this afternoon I logged out, then logged back in. And I seem to be getting notifcations again. I can't say if I'm getting all of them, because I don't know how active my subscription threads are.
