Help - Stopped getting email subscription notifications - unsubscribing???

This is so frustrating, I lost an auction because there was no follow up notification even though I subscribed to the thread. So I lost by 1 $ after fighting to keep tabs on it. Then the lister thought there was a auto count down with the new system. All adds up to be very frustrating new set up when it doesn't benefit the user.

I know there are glitches to be expected, but I find myself not wanting to be on here because of so many compounding issues. I am spending more time on breed specific and breed club forums since the switch here.

I'm sorry to hear you lost the auction.

That's disappointing.

There seems to be a glitch in the email system which I'm SURE Nifty and the BYC crew are working on. In the meantime, check your threads via the home page - especially if you've got something to lose. That system of notification is still working.

Yup, we've escalated this to the engineers for review and it is on their first priority list!

I received a notification at 12:53 (that's PST) of Nifty's post on this thread (#64). I read posts 64-68, went to another thread, came back a couple hours later and saw that this thread had 4 new posts. I didn't receive any follow-up notifications - the one at 12:53 was the only one I received.

So I havent gotten any email since Id say Wed I can go back and ck. But I use to so pretty sure its not my email account.

I am sending out a few pings to the lists that I am subscribed to that I know I have unsubbed and resubbed to. Just to see if responses come back... So far I have two that have responded and have come back as a notification through email.

Is this a problem for everyone? Or just certain e-mail subscribers? I am prepared to switch from g-mail if that will help. Has this helped anyone?

I don't think it's a gmail thing. I think it's something BYC has to fix for us. But I think they're getting it narrowed down so I'm betting it won't go on much longer.

i shifted my email to yahoo, from gmail, i am getting pm notices but not the general subscriptions- not sure if that helps you figure it out or not

Add me to the list, too. Some days are good, and I get posts, and then there are days like today with nary an email from BYC, yet I log in and there's 5 new pages of posts on a thread I'm subscribed to. Nothing in my spam folder that shouldn't be in there.

EXACTLY. Some days I seem to get more than others. For example, I subscribed to this thread after I posted.. but have gotten no notifications, although there are 4 or 5 new posts.

It's an interesting glich for sure.
