Help - Stopped getting email subscription notifications - unsubscribing???

I get one email notice for each new or re-subscribed thread and email notices for all PMs. The issue must have something to do with the software not recognizing that we've been in to check on a thread and need to be notified again when something new is added.

Currently not really receiving notices.

It seems that if I subscribe to a new thread, I will get one notice from that thread, and nothing else.

The whole email thing has been very random for me since the new format, very inconsistant.

Now since 2/4 it has been pretty much non functional.

I have been 'logged in" the whole time (since the 4th or so), though not on BYC the whole time.

Here is a thought. I never log in, I use the remember me option. It was never an issue with the old system, but wondering if this might be part of the new system email notice issues.

Like CelticOaks Farm, I use the remember me option. When I'm done at BYC, I simply close the window. I do not typically undertake a 'hard' log out by selecting that option.

I have all of my notifications set to "site only." I assume this means that the new icon I see next to subscribed threads serves as the notification. If so, I am notified every time a new post is made, each time I return to the home page, even within a viewing session. The number of new posts appears next to the subscribed thread in an orange box. If this isn't the notification method, then I am also not receiving notifications.

Nifty posted earlier that emails are in fact going out, then dissipating into the internet ether (my words, not his!). A temporary solution, for those of you able to undertake it, might be to change notifications to "site only" until the problem can be resolved. I say this as a person who tries to keep subscriptions to a minimum, so my subscribed threads list is relatively short and easily viewed. But, the more recently updated threads to seem to rise to the top of the list.

I never goto the home page, the forums page is my landing page for BYC so I rely on email notices of new posts.

Email notifications to subscribed threads stopped on Jan. 22nd. I had an AOL account & was receiving regularly until that date. I took a suggestion to change email accts. to a Gmail to see if that helped. Initially, changing the email acct. did help (for one day). Now I get notificiations for this thread "ONLY"~! No notifications for threads I'm subscribed to or PM's.

I am having simiar issues...I have quite a few threads that I am subscribed to but I am not receiving any notices? I do get PM, but that's about it> Does anyone know what to do? I was getting updates on several threads and now nothing? Weird...

It's just sit tight and let them figure out what is wrong. THey are aware of it and are working on it.

I haven't been getting emails for the threads I am subscribed to either. In fact when I select "subscribe" it doesn't seem to take? I could select subscribe over and over again but it never changes. Hmmmmmmm
