help! structure/landscape to minimize the noise?

THANK YOU! I was thinking on waiting until they started laying eggs, but now I think I will just show up with a dozen eggs (from the farmer's market of course lol) and pretend it's from my chickens. I've had small talk with the old man before, he seems very reasonable, not sure about his wife though.

edited to add; You think if I tell them my plans on minimizing the noise they will be okay? I'm assuming they would, I just don't want to go up there friendly only for them to chew my butt LOL

Yes, I've gotten up an hour and a half earlier... before I wasn't letting them out until about 8/8:30am, but I think one morning they just got fed up and all started doing their morning egg songs.

Thanks for the idea let me upload a couple pics so you all can get an idea of my situation... we plan on building a 6 ft privacy fence, and thinking of even adding a sound proof wall or something to the run to block out the noise.

Ha ha, well while I was outside taking pictures of my coop and run, my Ella laid an egg, I was able to keep her egg song to a minimum while I was out there - THANK GOD lol- she laid a small perfect green egg!!! ok, time for the farmer's market!!

Will post pics soon, THANK YOU everyone for your responses!!

ps Ella is 5 months old!!

yay!! Well so far, 3 neighbors are okay with the noise, they don't mind at all, I think I'm gonna go to 3 more houses just to cover the area. So far no one had an issue with it, and they know where to go if they do! Thanks Hummingbird!!

While I was gone to the farmers' market, Ella laid ANOTHER egg!!

Only one egg per chicken every 23 hours max. Roos has a partner in egg laying crime. Put your hand over each of their backs the ones that automatically squat are either laying or getting ready to lay. Occasional egg gifts to the neighbors never hurts either.

this is Ella, my Ameraucana who laid the first egg - I can never get close to her because she is so darn skittish

This is my set up, we left some space so my husband can put up a 6ft privacy fence. Once the fence is up, we'll extend the run to the fence.

These are my polish crested, we're introducing them to the flock, it's been a month and I still don't think it's safe for them to go in general population, so they stay here in isolation - I might have to get rid of the cockerel though

Here it is, the first egg, when I left to the farmer's market, I found another one in the nest, looked exactly the same. My only conclusions are that Ella laid 2 and I missed it, but if everyone here is saying that's impossible, then it had to be my other Ameraucana as well. (One of the reasons I got assorted chickens, so I can keep tabs on who is laying)

Not sure now, it could have been my other Ameraucana - I just thought it was Ella because she was in the coop all morning - this is my first flock so I'm learning as I go
