Hello i have a unwell 1yr old isa brown
Whos displaying symptoms of sour crop and i bealive coccidiosis?
Looking for advice on what to do and what it is?

Reasons why i think its sour crop?
watery crop but no smell what so ever out of her peak, its been like this maybe three days and changes to soft and squishy like then so forth.

Has diaherra colour of her poo always is white, clear mucoud poo and yellow with only somtimes small green solid poo. And sometimes just clear?

Only ever drinks her electrolyte water as well.

Why i think its coccidiosis?
She has diaherra, the look of her poo I've already detailed when i think she also has sour crop also

Does seem quite, prefers to hide away from the flock when i first noticed

Drinks doesn't seem interested in food only a few pecks here and there but sometimes not at all.

Closes her eyes but is also alert at times.
Doesnt seem puffed up but she used to and somewhat does do the coccidiosis stance.

what have i done about it ?
Ive isolated her from the flock
Gave her garlic water but I've stopped for now shes had greek yougurt but only a few pecks of that.
She's having baycox currently incase it is coccidiosis its day three at the moment.

Any ideas on what it could be?
As I'm out of clue on what it is it seems like both at the same time there's no smell from her mouth so it can't be sour crop

Is it because her digestive system is running a bit slow?

Here is a photo of her poo

She had for electrolyte for 4 days now

Do you think this is cocci?
That's enough of the EL's.
Offer nothing but plain water and a good chicken ration.
What is her regular diet?

This is what I do when I have a bird that is 'off'....
I isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so I can closely monitor:
-their intake of food and water,
-crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed),
-and their poops.
Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling.
Check for external parasites or any other abnormalities.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.

Ok, why should i stop with EL wouldn't see need it more due to her having very watery diaherra?

Probtic seed the green vally grains its a yellow bag and somtime days they will get molasses seed by red hen
Yes she is currently in a cage carrier away from the flock at night to observed but in another like cage in the day, but close enough to see them?

Her crop does not emty but she does do poo like the photo I've shown below.

Her amberdem isn't squishy at all the hard swelling im unsure what would a normal adbermen feel like?

Shes been treated for mites, with ivemectim on December last year and isn't due again till march

Yellow in the urates is a big cause for concern.

If she is eating on her own, stop any weird diets and supplements and see if the yellow color clears up. If not, she may be experiencing an internal issue which is putting stress on her liver and kidneys. Unfortunately, tumors and reproductive issues are very common in production egg layers. That being said, they usually rear their heads around the 3 year mark, so she's still on the young side

Definitely check her abdomen. Compare with a healthy bird. Note any elevated temps, lumps, firmness or swelling that seem out of place.

Check her keel (breast and bone on the chest) - once again, compare to a healthy bird as hybrids are usually on the lean side. Check the color of her comb and wattles as well.

Can you hear any air in the crop? Sour crop is a yeast infection and just like a sourdough starter, it will off-gas into the crop. You may even be able to see it in the back of the mouth.

Definitely stop the EL - with yellow urates, this can be caused by supplements and you need to rule out if the EL and odd food is the cause. The best thing for her right now is plain water and pelleted feed - either pullet grower or layer feed. If the urates whiten up after a day or so on that, then you'll know it was the extra feeds\medication causing it, which is a good thing. If they stay yellow or get brighter, that's a bad sign.

Compare her abdomen with a known healthy bird from your flock, preferably of the same breed. - use them as your baseline for her physical.

Ok ill stop and see if anything changes how long do i white till i notice a change?, does coccidiosis cause poo like this? Or not this watery like? I did have another hen who had cocci back in December. The hen now who i have is now unwell has had sour crop in the past.

Ok I've done that she definitely does not have water belly.

She drinks plain water with no EL on her own and she did eat a few pecks of her grain by herself.

I've never wormed my chicken's could worms be a possibility? I've read they do slow in digestion when they have it.
