HELP! Sudden weight loss and death in hens

It's doubtful the silver can make much headway with a serious bacterial infection. She may need an antibiotic. What do you have on hand?
I have a not so good update.
That second hen that was sick is STILL not getting any better. She was on broad spectrum antibiotics for 7 days and just finished them yesterday and she’s not looking any better :/
I put her in the coop last night and this morning I found her standing in the one of the nest boxes hunched up with her eyes closed. I ended up separating her from the rest of the flock again this morning. I have no idea what she could be sick with… if it’s not worms, coccidiosis, lice/mites or an infection then what could it be?
So far the rest of the flock seems healthy.

I'm so sorry she isn't getting better. That is definitely discouraging. Unfortunately, when you try all the treatments for things that are treatable and they fail to cause any improvement, it often means the chicken is sick with something that has no treatment such as cancer or an avian virus.

But sometimes, a chicken can have a bacterial infection where the type of bacteria is resistant to the antibiotic or does not respond to the antibiotic due to it not being formulated for that particular cell's anatomy. You can try another antibiotic and it could make a difference. What antibiotic did you use?
