Help! Swelling around eyes & weak

Well if there are mosquitoes, that might be a possibility. I live in S. Ohio, and we have not seen mosquitoes this early. I am going to tag a couple of others who have seen a lot of unusual pox to see if they have any ideas:
@casportpony @dawg53 and @coach723 ? Does this look like fowl pox, mites, or anything else to you?

As previously stated No vets treat chickens here. He did have parasites that I treated with DE & wood ash. DE was applied last night. He never scratches though there are eggs in the feather quills near the skin. There are no new ones as the ones I see are growing out. I have looked him all over, no creepy crawlers that can be seen with the eye.
No, no diseases or unidentifiable deaths.
According to what I’ve read he has no symptoms oh MG. Although the incubation period is no up yet.
He isn’t showing any signs of respiratory issue as of yet. I’m completely baffled as well.
If the eye itself is not presenting with problems, only the tissue around the eyes, would it be good to use Terramycin? Isn’t that applied to the eye itself? I believe I may have some if you think it will help him. It would surprise me if any of the feed stores carry Tylan 50, they’re kinda lacking in their medicines. Surely I can order online though.
Thanks so much for your input.
Do you think the tea tree oil you put in his eyes could have caused a reaction or was it that bad before you put the tea tree oil in?I know that tea tree is good for skin infections and bacterial infections, but have never heard about putting it in the eyes

It doesn't look like any pox I have seen, and I've never seen pox on the legs. I'm at a loss, never seen one that looks like this. Hopefully some one else will have an idea for you.

It was not in the eye, but the surrounding skin. It was definitely swollen before I applied the tea tree/coconut oil. It is getting worse & better at the same time. Swelling is still going up, but color may be better...? I don’t think it’s the tea tree/coconut oil, but I also have no idea what’s going on :barnie. I read somewhere on byc that tea tree was good for mites, in case that was what was going on i tried it. Figured it could help even if it isn’t mites (as it’s good for infections & wounds).

Tea tree is a strong essential oil. I don’t think it is meant to be placed around the eyes. It will burn. If you think your chicken has mites around its eyes you can just apply plain Vaseline and that will smother them.

I do have some other silkie hens that I believe have some mites around the head. I have tried Vaseline for it, but it never seems to help regardless of how many days I apply it.
I agree tea tree is strong, I will try plain Vaseline & hopefully that works! Could it really be that easy?!
It would be great if he weren’t truely weak, but off balance due to the swelling causing his sight to be funky.
How long until there’s improvement for a typical (non swollen) mite problem treated with Vaseline?

Well, swelling is worse today. I put Vaseline on last night very thick & again this morning. If it is mites, Can I give him Ivermectin while he is taking Amoxicillin?? It makes sense to me that dusting his body they would migrate to the head & possibly overwhelm that area enough to cause swelling??

Bailey is a 3yo silkie rooster. He does not free range as he is small & we have preditors. He has been separated from everyone for maybe 4 weeks now as he had lost a lot of weight

I realized he had quite a parasite load so I dewormed him & everyone else with Wazine (cayenne pepper, garlic, & squash seeds had been given previously apparently to no avail). Dusted him with wood ash & DE once a week for several weeks.

He has been eating game bird feed, cracked corn, yogurt, scrambled eggs, & cooked hamburger. Gave poly-vi-sol wo iron & poultry nitro-drench as needed.

So I mixed the coconut oil & tea tree eo, applied once on am & once in pm. Also added antibiotics (amoxicillin 500 mg capsule in 1 gallon of water) for his drinking water, in case it was some sort of infection (I no, I no- lots of over medicating happens in general...but there are not any vets who treat chickens in my area & I couldn’t find anything like this anywhere online. So I was guessing).
I think it could be infection from the parasites, but it's hard to know. Seeking vet care is your best option (see below). If not, I think I would give him a bath to get the tea tree oil off. Dry him very well with a blow drier and treat with either the Ivermectin or Permethrin. Ash/DE and other alternative methods are not going to take care of an infestation.
For the sores, I think I would use a triple antibiotic ointment or vetericyn. See if that makes a difference.
The sores could also be fungal infection, but if the parasite load has gone unchecked, they can cause infection.

If you are going to be treating his with Amoxicillin, then I would give him the normal dose of 57mg per pound of weight 2 times a day. I'm not sure how well it settles out of water and what you have - is it capsules or tablets that you are crushing? (meaning adding it to drinking water, you don't know if he's drinking enough to get a proper dosage)
Just my 2¢

I definitely think it could be an infection due to parasites. It’s crazy he was doing amazing after dewoming /delousing & all of a sudden whatever this is.
I have capsules of amoxicillin. Somewhere awhile back I had read a thread about where to order & how to use for chickens. True I don’t know how much he’s drinking but I am syringe feeding him water throughout the day. I have some vetericyn & triple antibiotic.
Thank you for taking the time to look into poultry vets. Websites had not listed them.

I appreciate everyone’s advice & thoughts. After doing research for 2 days straight- I believe he probably has a bacterial infection from parasites. I did bathe him again, have yet to find my Vetericyn, so I may have to run out & buy some. I’ve called all 4 of our local farm stores. None carry Baytril which after much research I believe would be best antibiotic since it’s treats both kinds of bacterial infections. Problem is looks like I’ll have to order it. I have fish mox (500 mg capsules) I’m pretty sure based on other posts I’ve been way under dosing so it’s not helping at all.
If I can’t get baytril anywhere & have to use the fish mox, I’m not sure how to give him an appropriate dosage, he’s tiny still not at his full weight, I’m pretty sure even though he’s eating the infection is causing more weight loss.
