Help! The kids are fighting!

I let mine settle it. Yes, there are some scrapes and scratches, but they get it over in a few hours unless you toss in new chicks or try to separate them.
Here is one long session of one battle with two brothers that took place one afternoon, complete with dramatic music. You think they're worn out, then they start up again. None of my other chicks have ever been this way except the Brahmas at 5-6 weeks old.
Did they continue to fight like this into adulthood? This type of behavior is generally grounds for culling in breeder stock.

That’s good to hear. If I was breeding chickens and I had roosters grow up and fight like that constantly I would be culling them.
She has a nice thread about her Brahma. She had a passel of boys this past spring. They are impressive looking birds.

Absolutely not. They are the best behaved roosters I've ever owned. This is only one afternoon and they're only 5-6 weeks old, normal pecking order alignment stuff. As I said in the post, they settle it in one afternoon session, usually. They are the most gentle roosters on the planet. I have someone in SC who buys most of my extras for her 4H kids. She sends me photos of the big Brahma boys sitting in laps at Tractor Supply-they are such a great ad for the breed. My Barred Rock males never fight that way as young chicks, but they end up battling more later when they are larger and more sporadically. These Brahma males are the gentlest, sweetest roosters I've ever had and that's saying quite a lot since I only keep nice, non-aggressive males. I can go up to their sire any day at any time and just pick him up without a fight. Good thing, too, since he's about 26" tall and a big wide load of rooster with 3" spurs.

Here is my rooster, Sebastian (Bash).

That’s great to hear! I’ll have to source some hatching eggs and some adult Brahmas from you once I have my own property! ;)

That is one cute rooster fight, never thought i'd say that.:caf
