Help to hatch? Do I? Update: Final count!

Congrats on all the babies. I think you did pretty well only losing one considering everything you had to go through. Now we need some pics! Keep us posted on their progress.

Mom is in the little pen with 12 babies!

The final 2 went under her last night... a little smaller than the 4 day olds but I think they will do well in the small pen with mom for a few days before a big adventure out in the big world.

Candled the last one and no movement at all and not as full as the other 3 that I hatched... opened it this morning and,as I suspected, it was a not fully developed baby, dead.

Sad but I am still thrilled with all the babies that are here and alive and well!

congrats on your babies. I know what you mean about nerve racking. I just hatched 22 out of 23 eggs. The last one was fully developed just didnt pip out. Told my hubby next time I will let the chickens do it. Too stressful. But anyhow I am glad your babies did good. Dont know If I could have done it the way you did. Good thinking.
