Can someone help please to identify what's wrong with this baby chick?
Seems to be doing fine except does not walk well, loses balance and sits a lot on the bum. Eats ands drinks but is so from birth, now on day 3 not any better but also not worse. Sits a lot under heat and less active than others. Received electrolytes and mashed egg on day 1 and 2.

.....
First of all, the ground on which the chicken is standing is slippery, that is wrong, especially if all the chickens grow up on such a ground!
Ground must be rough!
It looks like your chicken has dislocated tendons (often happens due to bad incubation temperature).
This problem is easily solved by immobilizing the legs.
You can find a more detailed description in the "Kokošinjac"(Chicken coop) :D Facebook group, under Media/Albums
If you don't know Croatian, use Google translator to make it easier for you to understand the process!

Thanks for your feedback. The chick is only put there for the video as in the brooder it is difficult to film. Are you referring to splayed leg by saying dislocated tendons?

Yes, I meant splayed leg, sorry English is not my language:D

Look at the trick I use, which is ultra simple and effective.
I use regular adhesive crepe tape (I don't know what it's called in your country, but painters use it when painting walls), it's not very sticky and it's cheap!
I cut the crepe tape into a thin strip and simply glue it around the leg of the chicken in a space the thickness of a human finger.
The tape stays on the chicken for about a week, then I take it off or it falls off on its own!
Since I breed animals for exhibitions, it is very important to me that they have proper legs and walk.
I use this method for very small and large splayed leg in chickens!
In the video, both chickens had large splayed leg defects.
In the last video, you can see the great progress after only a week of wearing the strips

Thank you!
I did something similar at the end, hope it helps for him/her 🙏🏻

My only concern is that the chick is sitting most of the day under heat with the eyes closed, alert only if I approach or others bother him/her. Drinks and eats but probably way too little as I begin to see difference in size to brothers/sisters
