HELP! Toulouse Unwell but 'laid' GROSS Egg! Pic warning - YUK!!!

Todays update is that she's gradually improving. Came out this morning a little brighter and finally eating her pellets again. Its Waterfowl breeders pellets fortifed with minerals, vitamins and fish meal and they all respond well to that. Then went for a bath and adopted mating posture and the American Gander duly obliged

She's clearly feeling better but tomorrow is another milestone in her recovery as another egg is due. She is unfortunately the very large Holderrread daughter and has never done this before. At the moment the signs appear to indicate an oviduct problem and the general concenus of advice is good diet and conditions (which they have) and the situation may right itself.

At present we feel we want to minimise stress so endoscopy is not being considered. I think the problem is in the lower oviduct forming the membrane and shell. Whilst the endoscope can check the ovary it will only inform us what the oviduct looks like externally and I would not want the scope inserted through the oviduct wall or examined via the vent at this stage.

We appreciate all the advice from you kind people as it makes us re-think our strategies and consider other opinions THANK YOU EVERYONE
