I had posted this in the emergency group and was told to post here for help. I have a turkey poult that is swollen on 1 side of his face. The spot is hot to the touch but squishy and filled with clear fluid. There was initially a red dot directly in the center, but it has since subsided. The swelling appeared in a matter of around 15 minutes, but it has now been about 36 hours and it has only gone down slightly, but feels even hotter to the touch. He has no other issues as of right now his lungs sound clear, no nasal discharge, and regular stools. Any ideas as to what it could be and how to treat it? TIA :)

The red dot in the center indicates to me that it is probably an insect bite or sting.

It's almost gone now, any idea what caused it for you? I have no idea with mine...I'm guessing a bug, but have no clue what kind :(
I had a Narragansett hen get the exact same thing last fall. I kept an eye on it, and it did not seem to bother her. After 3 weeks it cleared up on it own.

I originally thought it might be Fowl Pox, but if never spread to any other birds. I assumed it was just an infect gland. Seemed to bother me more than the hen.
