That kinda does look like a bruise
Can you take a few more pictures
Also you should see the baby breathing along the air cell even if baby is in wrong position
If you can take a video then post it to YouTube then share the link
Don’t cover the light with your hand though I need ti see the egg fully

The one with the bruise I showed you yesterday was at the wing end as well
I lost the first one not making the safety hole in the bruise the second time it happened I acted fast and saved her
If you are 100 % sure that wasn’t there before and it’s a bruise then I would make a small pin hole in the centre of the bruise
If it’s not a bruise it could cause harm
When you candle what do you see ?
If baby has made a bruise then it should also be making breathing movements

Don’t make a big hole you want air to get in but not a big area or baby cab dry out in the egg

The parents must be lighter in colour ? My white babies I could see through the egg like that my darker ones I couldn’t

I’m sure. Before there was no blue or purple on the egg at all. I see movements, but I can’t see a beak or anything, because it is too dark and crowded!

What do you mean by the wing side? I just know the bruise is on the pointy end. What happens if I accidentally poke the duckling? Is it safe to do a hole there, because thee is no air sack or anything?

I had one bruise the pointy end to because they are in the wrong position and can’t get to the air cell they will run out of air and die without the safety hole. If you don’t make it right away he will die
I learned the hard way the first time it happened to me. The second time I didn’t hesitate and she will be 1 years old in a week
You go slow and don’t poke it in far. I broke I tiny piece of the shell off the size of a sharpened pencil end then took the tac and just poked the membrane but didn’t push it in so I didn’t touch the baby of that makes sense

If you hold the egg to your ear you should hear scratching sounds as baby is probably trying to break the shell but may not be able to before it runs out of air.

Yoy will most likely have to fully help this baby hatch but please be very patient. This will be 48-72 hours before this baby is out. The first thing is to get air in with the safety hole
Then wait 24 hours we treat this like the internal pip. You may find another bruise after the 24 hour wait time then we would make a little hole there a bit bigger more like a pencil eraser end and then wait again or if no other bruising we would open the hole you first made a bit bigger
