Help unknown chicken breed

Yes, a lot of the times I am going to mistake which disease it is.
We all make mistakes, but this is why doing research before jumping into anything is important. So you can know what to expect, and at the very least diagnose.
You will learn from this, and is all we can do now. I do suggest you do lots of reading on building coops, diseases, bio security, feeding, and protecting chickens before you venture into the next chapter with chickens. Them as adults. BYC is happy to help, but it really helps us help you if you do some research in advance. Visit the BYC article section for lots of good info. :)
I’m sorry for your loss. Let’s hope it’s the last you’ll experience for a long time. That’s how we learn sometimes.

Thank you for your information. I do read a lot about diseases.:)
