Help! URGENT! Something is wrong with my DUCK!

My fully grown duck is shaking head so much and drooling a lot after eating a slug! WHAT SHOULD I DO?? PLS Answer fast

Slug should be ok for ducks to eat. The reaction sounds more like toxic poisoning from a plant.

If it's poison, you would need to induce the duck to try to vomit. And give it a lot of water to drink.

You don't need to do anything. Slugs emit this sticky goo as a defence mechanism to deter predators. Ducks love to eat slugs. They try to get the slime off their bills after by wiping them and shaking their heads and dabbling in water to wash it off (which doesn't work as the slime is sticky). It will pass. They will still eat and enjoy slugs!

This is normal. No need to panic. It's just gross.

If you feel you need to do something, wipe their bills with a cloth or tissue to get the excess off.

I used to collect all the slugs off my plants and feed them to my ducks. They were pest control!

It's really funny watching them try and unstick their bills and wash it off!

Hazards of slug eating. Do they learn? Nope, they are too tasty.

My ducks love slugs but yes that’s how they act after eating them… It helps if they have some dirt / sand next to their water bucket

Forcing one to vomit can cause the bird to aspirate never do this.
