Hello,
I am needing urgent advice please! I have an egg incubating on day 22 now...I know its a 'no-no' but I have candled my 3 remaining eggs today...I had one egg that seemed to be trying to pip internally..the air cell had changed shape and I could see shadowy movement inside...I have just candled that egg one more time and things look very different...there are no veins remaining in the spaces I see in the egg, and the chick is totally still..is the chick likely to be dead?? What does the lack of blood vessles in the lining mean please??

nothing is wrong
everything is ryt

its a tiring process
so they may take their own time to hatch
just keep your finger crossed

can you post your candling pics

Thanks for your reply, do you know why the veins would have disapeared?

the chick has absorbed the veins

it is getting ready for pipping

hppe to c pics soon

Ok thanks very much for your reply :) i feel pretty uneasy about this chick unfortunately :( things looked so still and lifeless in there, i hope i'm wrong! I haven't heard of chicks absorbing the blood vessels before they internally pip?
