I don't take the food out but I probably should start doing that. We'll see tonight if everything goes straight through him. I really hope his poops are normal! :-/

You said the mice were pooping in the feeder? Can you hang the feeder so the mice can't get in it but the chickens can reach the food. A chain from the ceiling and S hook to hang the feeder on?

The feeder is hanging but I can't put it any higher. Two of my chickens are "gimps". One has a rod in her leg and is very unsteady. The other got her toes stuck in the brooder when she was a chick and her feet are deformed. She walks around on her knees. So anyway, neither of my girls would do well with the feeder any higher.

Peanut's poop is normal and he was completely normal today. He drank but didn't over-drink this time. A friend of mine thinks his crop might be impacted. But I've been checking it throughout the day and the only time there was anything there was after he ate.

I am beginning to wonder if the over-drinking is just a reaction to stress. This didn't start until after his near fatal incident and its been a problem from time to time ever since..

*sigh* crazy chickens lol

I think so.. I'll keep a close eye on him. I cleaned the coop really well today and dusted it with DE. My husband is gonna kill me if we have to pay for another vet visit

You might also consider giving your chickens some yogurt. I give mine yogurt on a regular basis, but especially after any sort of antibiotic or if I suspect digestive problems. Make sure the yogurt has live cultures.
I also use rescue remedy. It is very effective for stress or shock. It is good for animals as well as people. With the chickens I usually put a drop or two on their comb. If one is in really bad shape I put a drop in their beak so they drink it. For people and larger critters it is administered by mouth.
You might try massaging his crop next time he does this, sometimes you can dislodge whatever is causing a blockage.
