Help! Very tired hen without an appetite

Hi! One of our year old chickens is sick and I’m not sure what’s going on. I noticed her acting sluggish yesterday. Today she isn’t drinking and her crop is empty. I moved her to her own pin within the coop and gave her some treats. She ate a little, but still won’t drink. She mainly stands with her eyes shut, tail up. It’s like she can barely keep them open. Her poops looked kinda frothy yellow/white to me.

Maybe it’s Blackhead or Coccidiosis? Should I deworm her? What about syringing water into her mouth?

If I were you I would try putting Corid in her water it couldn’t hurt (I forgot how much to put in) sorry but to me it looks like maybe an internal infection or something try giving her water through a syringe or something like that I’m so sorry this happened to you hope she gets better soon

How much Safegaurd should I give her? I have that on hand, but I’ll have to get corid. Would an antibiotic help if it’s an infection? I have Baytil, but I can get something else if needed.

Yesterday evening I checked on her and noticed that one eye is cloudy, almost like cataracts. It didn’t look swollen and no discharge. I put some Terramycin on it in case. I’m not sure if one cloudy eye is a symptom or if she is acting off from a hurt eye.

Check the tear duct in her eye and see if there are eyeworms. They will be very thin, about 1/4 inch long, white or off white in color. I understand that eyeworms are very common in Hawaii. Cockroaches are the vector for eyeworms.
The only antibiotic that is effective against cocci are sulfa drugs which are used to treat the two types of cocci that cause bloody feces. Any other antibiotics are ineffective against cocci. Corid treats 7 types of cocci and is not an antibiotic, it is a thiamine blocker. It'll be in the cattle section at a feed store.
Hold off worming for now and treat them with the corid first. You have to make a determination if eyeworms are the cause of the blindness which is likely if they are present.

Gatorade in the water might help tempt her to drink it. You can also wet her feed crumbles or pellets—not only might that make her eat, it will also increase her overall fluid intake.

What made you think of Blackhead? Are her comb/wattles darkened? Any other symptoms? Nothing you mentioned in your OP would make me think Blackhead.... unless there are other symptoms than what you told us initially.

I thought of Blackhead or cocci because of other posts I saw kinda matching symptoms.

Now her symptoms are very weird and specific. I’m surprised I couldn’t find anything to match it. I think I’ll make another post about it. After I noticed the cloudy eye I put teramycin on it. The next day the eye was milky white and she was worse. I couldn’t get her to eat or drink anything. I syringed her some water. I don’t think she’s going to make it since I can’t figure out what’s going on. I hope it’s not a disease that will go around the flock.

As for a vet it’s not my chicken. I take care of the chickens and goats for someone and she’s not interested in paying for that.
