So so so sorry. You have given her love and care for a very ling while unlike some people would. You are incredible and I thank you for being willing to care for this little gal who so desperately needed help. You gave her a good life while you could, and her life will end on a happier note than it could have been. Praying for your family during this hard time.I love that name. I named her Quacker Jack because she would spring, cheap and fall. I did try and I didn't get super attached because I had a feeling niacin had nothing to do with it. My 7-year-old is so heart broken. I pray she just passes during the night but i don't think that will be the case. She wants to thrive. It really is just so pitiful.

I did, along with everything else vitamin deficient duckling would need. I took her to the animal hospital this morning and the vet said it was neurological. She had begun aspirating on her food. Having seizures, etc. I felt terrible and I knew the right thing was to send her to ducky heaven as pain free as possible. She would flop everywhere and couldn't roll from back to stomach. It was truly pitiful. I appreciate everyone's advice. In the future, I will know how to treat wry neck like a pro and prevent it.Try giving her nutritional yeast. Aww. I truly am sorry. Being a bird mom isn't for the faint of heart. My daughter is going to be ok. The ducky's we let go are playing in heaven doing all of the duck things they were apparently not meant to do on earth. I take comfort knowing she isn't suffering at all anymore.I got very attached to mine
It was heartbreaking
But I have 3 new babies here and watching them be able to walk , run , jump , stand , swim , preen , eat and drink has helped me to realize that I did the right thing by putting him down
My struggle was his will to live and thrive
He wasn’t sick and he had energy and would eat and drink like a trooper
His growth was great but his neck bone stopped his abilities physically
I hope your daughter will be okay
That she understands that you guys did all you could to help her
Thank you. I am ok. The kids are so sad. I really treated it like a newborn human for 5 -6 days. That poor baby. She got a lot of love, but she was lonesome for another ducky too. she would cheep when she heard the others and start going crazy. She wanted to live. Her body had other plans. So so so sorry.
