Hey guys, on Wednesday I thoroughly cleaned and scrubbed my chickens till not a speck of dirt on them. Flash forward today and I noticed that they looked like absolute crap...:barnie SOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!! I swear... they are rolling in the poop and water ON PURPOSE!!!!!!
Anyhooo, I entered them tonight and they seemed to be dirtier than everyone else (of course) and so I was thinking of going early tomorrow, and giving them a nice washing, and blow drying them?? I have the judging tomorrow, and I was wondering if this would be a problem?

I know I am supposed to wash 3 days early so that the oil can return to their feathers, but there seems to be no option!

Thanks!:thumbsup

After you wash them, put them in a cage with a wire bottom, or shaves that ou clean regularly. The feed and water need to be in container tied up high, so they can't spill it.
Yes, I JUST NOW TODAY entered them into the pen. They were in a little pen in my backyard. So there is a wire bottom in the show cage. BUT, what I was wondering is if they should be okay for show! Thank you SOOO much for responding!!:love

What kind of show is this? 4-H, or like an open show?

What matters most is the conformation/build of the bird, not the cleanliness of it. But of course it helps to make a good impression with the judge!
