HELP! Weird soft red/brown/black "egg"

Can anyone tell me what this is?! Found it this evening in the hen house. It's about the size of a medium egg. Soft & rubbery - red & brown/blackish. and then the one end with something hanging out.
What is it and do I need to be concerned? I have 7 hens - one is 3 years, the others just a year. Everyone seems to be acting fine!

I think your chickens just need more calcium to be able to properly form their eggs.Try giving them crushed up oyster shells,I herd it worked for some people.Check out the site above.Hope this helped
