Hi all,

I put up a post earlier this week about our sick flock of chickens and had some help but wanted to start a new discussion about this pic.
A summary- we had one lathargic sick chicken with yellow/ green watery poop. We caught her early and treated her with penicillin and she got better, seems to be getting worse again.
Then another sick chicken that didn’t make it.
This is what came from her vent when we pushed on it.
What is it?
We had a mild cough going around the coop, and one chicken with scaly mites. All tests from vet cams back no parasites any ideas what this could be?

Did the vet perform a gram stain?

How old is this girl?
If she is of laying age, when was the last time she laid an egg?

Just curious as to what made you push on the vent - was she exhibiting symptoms of egg binding, difficulty laying an egg, crop issues or swollen/bloated abdomen?
