Help what breed am i???

Can anyone help with what breed our little chicken is, we adopted her after neighbours could not look after her any more, but know nothing about her

That is a French Wheaten Marans hen.

Well, her color is way off for a Wheaten Marans..She should have a lot more white on her, especially her back half and bottom. Her legs should be a lot lighter too. She looks much more like a Production Red except for her darker legs. My guess is she is a Production Red or a mix of Production Red or New Hampshire and something else to account for the dark legs. In the pic below you will see my PR, the darker one (she was only 5 months in the pic so her wattles/comb and feathers have developed much more and her tail is black like yours). The only difference between yours and mine is the legs. Mine has dark yellow legs.

She's definitely a Wheaten something, but what I'm not sure. She could be a Marans -- how old is she? When she begins to lay, you'll know.

Problem is a Wheaten Marans will lay a brown egg but so will a Red Sex Link so I'm not sure egg color will help differentiate breed in this case.

Wheaten Marans will lay a DARK brown egg--far darker than a red sex link.

However, OP says it's a little chicken. Wheaten Marans shouldn't be "little." The leg color is wrong also--I think they should have white/pink legs. Nor should they have white ears.
