Help! What breeds do I have here?

Tarheel Chick

OK, I am a first time Chicken Mama and I need your help. When I got my babies I thought I was getting a 2 White Rock and 2 New Hampshire (lost 1) chicks. And when I looked up baby pics of these 2 chicken breeds, the rocks looked right and the New Hampshire were somewhat believable. The 2 White Rock chicks were yellow and the New Hampshire were light tanish with a little darker tan and brownish streaks. ( I couldn't find my camera then, so no pics.....Sorry!) As they aged, I found out that neither were what I thought they were!!!!

Please help!!!!! Oh, I forgot .....they are 6 weeks old.

1. Lemondrop in the front ( and a little bright) and Daisy in the back.....

2. Lemondrop from above. This picture shows a more accurate color of the 2 White Rock

3. Daisy (center) and Tessa stepping out of the pic

4.This is Tessa.......and I have no clue what she really is.......but I am pretty sure that she is not a New Hampshire

5. Tessa from overhead...I think she is a beauty!

6. Tessa (top) and Daisy (bottom)........Daisy is not a White Rock!!! But what is she?

PLEASE HELP........and thanks!!!! I am thinking.............3 eggceptionally pretty ladies?

I was trying to make them anything but orps. I originally wanted to get 2 orps and 2 EE......so I was a little disappointed when we went to buy our first 4 birds and the choices were white rock and new hampshire........I guess their papers were wrong. Just got a call from the store where we got them.....they said their last order was for dominique and new hampshire or maybe a cross between the 2.......LOL Glad I posted here before I got the call.......I would of really been confused. Thanks for the help!!

I have another question to add to the post.

Will Tessa keep this look as she matures (6 weeks now) if she is an EE? If she were a dominique/new hampshire cross is this a possible look?

Sorry for the "kindergardener" question.......but we all have to start somewhere.....and I am so glad that I found such a knowledgeable place to begin my chicken journey. Thanks!!

Definitely 2 BO. Not sure about 3rd. As far as coloring, I wouldn't count on it. It might, it might not. At 6 weeks I had one girl who looked like that, and another that was mostly white with a collar of red, and at 12 weeks both are mostly red :(. It might stay, but don't ever count on it.

I am also thinking BO's and EE's, but it is possible for these to be Dominique/NHR crosses. I bred my Barred Rocks and Red Sex Links together (a similar cross to a Dominique/NHR cross) and the offspring looked a lot like these, but slightly lighter in coloring. You never know with feed stores - the birds they try to label really can be anything! Although I don't know why they would be selling Dominique/NHR crosses...

I found a video showing 2 BO the same age as mine and they look so much like mine that I actually looked at the background to see if someone slipped into my yard and videoed my girls.....LOL. I know that color change is probable at this age.....But I do hope that she will stay this way

The lady that I need to talk to is out til' thursday, so I will get back in touch with her and find out if they were a cross or what breeds. I know that they had at least 2 different breeds: yellow chicks and brown/tan chicks ...girls. I think that they basically ordered what the hatchery had an abundance of. Now I guess I will just wait.....and wait.....and wait.....! Ok back to the coop building
I have a couple of BOs that look like that but I'm also a new bee.
Well thanks for the input.......we have got to start somewhere
