Just read this whole thread, wow! Great job taking care of Big Mama, what a turn around! Hope that those rats have been staying away- we have two cats that are great mousers/ratters so luckily we haven't had to deal with rats in the coop, if you can get a good mouser they really keep the population down. no motoclown no rooster for my girls, thought about it but when we got them we were unsure of a rooster so we just didnt get one.

Well word is out and i have another chicken recovering in the house,lol. We got a bloody egg and it looks like one of the chickens has a cut right at the opening of her hole, looks like it will be a fast heal but it was easier to bring her in because of all the snow and ice we have it is easier for me to tend to her water and food if she is in the house,lol. I just posted as my facebook status that only in my house can i come out of the bathroom and hear the sqwaking of a chicken and not be alarmed,lol
