The chicken coop besides my quail cage had very bad mites infestation so I treated all my chickens, quail, ducks and pigeons last month.

if he seem to be fine and not in pain then don't worry too much about it. can he still eat? can he still see from that eye?

He is eating fine and the growth is just below the eye so I think he can see.

I am worried that the growth will increase in size. I suspect that it might have been caused by mites or the powder I used to kill them.

I don’t know their exact age. I got them as adult breeders from a local breeder, he told me that the male was already breeding and the females were producing fertile eggs and for me they started to breed and produce fertile eggs after a week of keeping them.

so they are older birds then right? i am a chicken person not a quail person so i don't know the age quails mature. most birds and animals, once they get older tend to be more suspect able to diseases then younger birds. tumors are common in older animals: dogs, rats, birds, rabbits, cats etc... although tumors look uncomfortable they usually don't bother the animal unless it somehow hinders their movement or ability to eat or drink. is a vet available? they could tell you if it is cancer, a growth, or an infection. if a vet is not available just keep an eye on it and keep us posted
