help! what is this?

Can someone please tell me what kind of chicken this is? and is it a hen or rooster? it showed up at our house and we have no idea. thank you in advance

Thank you to everyone that answered we really had no idea. You all were alot of help. We appreciate it. We live out in the middle of nowhere in the country and the few neighbors we do have don't have any chickens.

That doesn't look like an adult, so I am going with cockerel. Not 100% sure though. Breedwise, could be an EE/Polish/? mix.

That is a very good idea. I know our neighbors come over often enough and ask "Are you by any chance missing a chicken again?"

Definitely some sort of Polish mix, and he is definitely a cockerel. He’s very pretty!

Looks to be a Polish and Andalusian mix cockerel.

I think it is a mixed breed between a type of polish and another type that I don't know. Sorry If this didn't help
