Help!!!! What is this????

Ok, thank you all. I had no idea what I was dealing with. When I got to her, the dangly bit was gone. I could not find it anywhere. My son had already separated her from the other chicks so I am assuming she picked it off. I followed your instructions and soaked her. Here is what it looks like now.

Was it just poop stuck to her feathers.....I am going to feel so silly if that is the case lol

Don't feel silly, no question is a silly question. Okay that was the teacher in me. If you think it was poo stuck on the feathers I wonder if she is old enough to carefully trim them?

I could try to trim some of the longer feathers. I can't believe it. I was so sure she was suffering some horrible injury. At least she will be OK. Thank you!!!

Whew! Glad she doesn't have a vent prolapse. I have dealt with that before, with my girl Clover. It is absolutely awful.
