Looks like it. However you do it, you want to get the head out. I would do a quick search and Google can tell you how to do it the best possible way.

Yes I have done although there wasn’t a lot about chickens only humans /dogs ect


I got it out using tweezers but the chick looks half dead still x

What is it doing? Laying around? Are her feathers puffed up? Is she huddled in the corner?

Give baby raw yolk and nutri drench. Does the wound look ok? Is it infected?

She is at the back
Not with the other chickens
Sleepy
Her feathers are a bit puffed up

I came back down and she is looking better but still the same (feathers puffed up ect x

I think this bit is swollen?? The tick was right under that bit
Will it go down
Do I need to treat it ?x


She is also around me more than the other chickens (she doesn’t like human company that much ) x

I'd offer supportive care.
Get her hydrated, you can give electrolytes or a little sugar water.

Get some vitamins into her like Poultry Cell. A bit of beef liver once daily wouldn't hurt either.
See that she's eating o.k.

Hopefully she'll start to recover.

The other day she was better and like herself but now she isn’t with the other chickens just sitting next to me sleeping
