Do not use Diotomaeceous Earth or garlic around your birds. D.e is a respiratory irritant and can cause issues in you and your birds. It is barely effective with mites and lites and is not good for the environment. Garlic can be toxic to birds in higher does, much lower than the doses required to repel pests
