She seems to be doing much better. I guess I will know better in the morning.

Reading this and what you were going through and seeing those pictures just broke my heart. I am soooooo happy she is doing better

Keep up the great work of caring for her and know that both of you are in our thoughts and prayers for a full recovery!

Totally new chick today! Eating and drinking well.

This morning she was out of her hospital crate. She had pushed up on it (top entry), and got out. She was sitting on top of it! Thankfully, it was in a secure shed, with door closed.
Another, final, picture for ya ....

I want to thank all of you for all your help and advise. It worked!
You all saved my chicks life. I am sure she would never have made it otherwise. I will keep her away from the flock for a week, and feed her crumbles, yogurt, and 2 - 3 drops PolyVisol vitamins daily. I am keeping the electrolytes water today. Then, I will go with ACV water.

I do feed my flock ACV water twice a week, and yogurt once a week. I will continue with that. Any other suggestions?

THANKS again! To you all .... a big thumbs up!

OH, That is GREAT NEWS!! I saw the first picture, and was saddened. Then the next picture of her laying flat, and I was heartbroken. She's beautiful, and I know how hard it is to have one ill.
I am sooo thankful for this forum, and even though this wasn't my chicken, I am very glad some knowlegable people stepped in. Because of them, this thread has happy results!!
I bet there was a ton of worry lifted when you found her outside the cage! I'm so gad she is doing well!!

One caveat:
In your picture with the tire flower bed, is that your grapevine growing on the fence to the left or is it Datura ? I cannot tell in the picture... If Datura, all parts of the plant are toxic.

It is all grape vine. Well, actually, on the very end there is a watermelon vine, that grew from an old melon being tossed there. It has 6 little melons on it.

Thanks for the information. I read about that plant. Yuk, toxic all over, leaves, seeds, flowers.... yuk. Of course it is harvested for medications. Interesting.
