This is Soap, a female Peking. I’ve had her in isolation because I suspect she has bumble-foot. Right now she’s soaking in the tub with Epsom salts. I’ve been spraying a poultry Teatree oil spray every day and wrapping her foot. I’m trying to figure out what I’m trying to remove from her foot. Is it that black spot on the end near her claw? She’s a pretty big duck, and my daughter is coming tomorrow so we can look at two people helping her.

Any advice is super appreciated. . .

Doesn't look too bad, really.
Is she limping?
Really need a clearer pic of the bump....
....So @Isaac 0 can see it and advise.
She doesn’t put any weight in it at all.

No weight on it at all. It’s hot to the touch. Here’s more. .

I do not see any sign of bumblefoot; the black spot on the distal portion of the toe is simply scabbing and isn't the direct cause of her limping.

A combination of having legs posterior to the lateral midline, being overweight, and possessing short legs predisposes Pekins to trip and fall over objects which frequently results in soft tissue damage (strains, sprains).

Treatment of soft tissue damage usually consists of confining the bird into a small pen, that's softly padded to reduce further movement in the foot, and reduce the chance of reinjury. Additionally, soaking the foot in cool Epsom salts every few days may help at reducing some of the inflammation. Asprin given at 5 milligrams per kilogram of body weight may also help at reducing any inflammation.

Thank you so much! I’ll keep her on bed rest and probably keep with the spray just in case
