Help! What's wrong with her?

I believe the treatment isn’t made for chickens but can be used on chickens. that gapeworm thread/article had the medication and dosages For chickens.

Unfortunately many tsc staff don’t have the knowledge about animal care to really help.

Also, I believe there is a short time after treating you should not eat the eggs. I’m not sure how much time, you would need to look that up.

Im so lost and confused of all the off lable treatments. I just read alot online that said once a chicken gets to this stage, its hard to save them. It happened so fast. Maybe ill try looking in her throat again.

I’ve read more, and it sounds like gapeworm really just isn’t that common in birds that are over a year old.

Is she still having a hard time drinking water? Has her gasping changed at all?

I’m sorry to not be more help. There’s so much to learn about chicken anatomy and so many things that can go wrong inside them ☹️.

Nothing's changed. She just went to the coop for the night, but she has chose to lay on the floor of the coop instead of getting on the roosts. I was going to isolate her, but they've all been exposed as much as they're going to be exposed anyways, so i seen no use.

I know all of this can be overwhelming...I too am a first time chicken lover and I’ve had a few scares. It comes down to a lot of observing your chickens, research, experience and advice from people that have done this for years and years. Do you have access to an avian vet nearby? Here is a link to a directory http://www.poultrydvm.com/poultry-vets.php
