It Started When The Dog Got To My Polish Roo... The Wound Wasn't That Bad, So I Disinfected It And Kept Him In Quarantine For Several Days, after about 5 days, he was still fine, walking around perfectly and all that, and the wound was all healed up, as it was scabbing over. so i put him back in with the other chickens.

about 5 days later, he was still fine, and i gave him about an fifth of a garlic clove (I was told you could do that to worm chickens by a judge). and 2 days later (today) i checked on him, and he was a bit heavier, but his eye was shut, and he wouldn't open it. there was dried mucus over it, so i picked it off, but he still wouldn't open his eye. i opened it a little with my fingers, and his eye looked like it was sunken back in, and was very watery. other than that, he was walking around normally, and his other eye was open, bright and healthy. He Eats, But Slower And Not As Much, And his crop feels rather hard. when i give him water, later on there is some mucus in his beak. What Could've happened? Other Than That eye, He Seems Fine. His Coop-mates Are 2 Large Austrolorp Hens, A Golden Hamburg Bantam Cockerel And Pullet, 2 Sultan Bantams And 3 silkies. he is a Whiute Crested Blue Polish bantam. PLEASE HELP! HE IS MY FAVOURITE ROOSTER! I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE!

Humm, crusted eye is often the first sign of a respiratory infection if not from trama. Listen to his lungs for any wheezing, any open mouth breathing. A hard croup could be enpacted , I would feed him some cooking oil and slowly massage his croup, making sure not to push it up and aspirate him. For respiratory stuff Tylan 50 cattle injectable works well.

I just checked on him, his breaths are loonger, and he's breathing through his mouth, and his crop is empty, so he ate his food quickly, but he's still refusing water... i opened up his mouth, and it had mucus in it, and his eye isn't improving....

what can i do about the water problem?

I don't know about garlic and chickens and what affect it may have. He sounds like he has a resp. infection. I would get some Tylan 50 cattle injectable if you can. In a pinch I have used childrens cold & flu grape flavor medicine (WaL brand). Give him a few drops in his beak 2X a day for a few days and see if there is an improvement. You need to get him drinking so i would get some pedilite and put in a milk cap and place it under his beak tip. Rub the back of his head/neck and it will often cause them to swallow. You can also dribble a small amount onto the side of his beak and see if you can get some to go in.
