I got my little Daisy in November of 2021 she was very healthy and never showed any issues. She is a white crested duck which makes me very nervous she is having neurological issues. In late February of 2022 I went out to the coop and noticed she kept tipping over and her neck was crooked. I assumed it was wry neck. I separated her from the group and gave her niacin, selenium, vitamin E, and plenty of peas and oatmeal. She was not getting any better. Some days she’s running like a maniac having so much fun, and then other days she can barely walk. I looked online and thought she has to have something else and I came across intracranial lipoma http://www.duckdvm.com/condition/intracranial-lipoma . Her symptoms consist of crooked neck, summersaults and running in circles. She has no issues eating or drinking. I just feel so bad watching her struggle like this.

I have no drakes. I have two other female ducks. A Pekin and Cayuga. I have no witnessed any fighting between them and they have always been so sweet with each other.
Here are some videos of her
Daisy Falling
Daisy Spinning
And I also added a photo of her neck

That poor girl. That first video almost reminds me of an inner ear infection. I have seen it in other animals but never ducks. Our ears control our balance and center of gravity. When an ear becomes infected, animals often tilt their head and have a hard time balancing because their center of gravity is off. A neurological problem could potentially cause the same thing too. I think it would be worth taking a look at her ears for any redness.

So even when they get along, my females will make my other females. When they try to mate another female they will grab the back of the head just like a drake. If they grab the crest it could cause problems.

I know I feel so bad for her. I have not noticed any redness in her ears but I will check just to be sure.

That is true. I’m sure that is another possibility. I wish I knew what to do to help her more.
