Hi everyone,
I'm beyond devastated right now. This is my first time hatching chicks and everything i researched said this was an umbilical cord, leave it and it will fall off. 3 days later it fell off, my chick is happy, eating, drinking, pooping, chirping, playing with the other chicks then today while cleaning out the brooder i noticed puss coming from it's back end. I checked it out and it's vent is clear but the puss is coming from a little piece of the cord that is still attached. Please tell me i don't have to cull this sweet baby. It's acting 100% normal, except for the odd peck to its behind. any advice would be helpful

Is there any way you could get some pictures in regular light for everyone? It's difficult to tell what it is with the red light and with the foggy incubator.
