Hey. I've got a buff Silkie that until a couple days ago was right as rain. Now she can't walk and just sort of lays there. I noticed a few days ago she wasn't as active as my other silkie and she was hanging her head kinda low. Then I noticed that she was walking funny then all of a sudden she would just fall over on her side. I thought it might have been her leg or something was hurting her but it doesn't seem to bother her when you mess with it. If she try's to walk she'll take about one step then fall over on her side. What can I do to help my bird? Any advice would be appreciated.

you need to seperate her and treat her for vit/mineral deficiency ASAP! Treat it agressively. you can get a brill tonic from your supplier. it comes in a small bottle with a teat pipette within the bottle. also treat her for cocci {vet job to get meds}. she may not be getting the nutrition she needs, this as i know {just been thru it} can knock them off thier feet. if treated and wached closley you can get her back round. i was up through the night and again at 5am through the day making sure mine had this tonic. good luck and let us know how she goes.
