Help with a chick or roo???

i agree with you basskids...i never have very good luck trying to re-home roos......and cant even give them away....it just gives me stress i tell you!
 
Most people do not want adult cocks. You should know what they are for positive by 20-26 weeks! That's when most hens lay. If their cockerels you should know within the next 6-12 weeks

I disagree. last year I sold a young polish roo. However, Basskids08 is right. the birds should start laying at 20 weeks or more. You could sell the cocks as fryers for cheap. Lots of folks want home grown meat.

well maybe that's my problem, ...i get rid of them too soon and they aren't big enough to eat yet!.....and the black ones are mixed breed so i don't think anyone would want them for breeding....the white ones are suppose to be delawares, but im not sure about that either!
