Help with a half blind chicken!!!!

I have just found out one of my chicken is half blind. She is in a small back yard and a flock of five chickens. She doing ok but trips over her own two feet some times and runs in to thing when scared. And has a hard time getting on her rost.
What I'm asking is do any of you have chickens that are half blind. And what do you do the help the and make them happy?

I have a little buff lace Polish, Helen, that's blind. I believe she can distinguish light and dark but that's about all. I actually had my hubby build a "transition" section in the corner of the coop so when I have a bird needing to be reintroduced to the flock we put her in the sectioned off area. This way they can all see each other and be together but the bird is transitioned slowly to avoid pecking and injury. Anyway, Helen hangs out in that area most of the time. I open it daily so she can come and go as she pleases, but she seems happy and content in her little corner of the world. She has her own food and water, but she does get into the bigger part of the coop and seems to know where the other feeders are. I have had a time or two where someone bullied her and she ended up outside in the run, which is an old horse arena and is huge. I have had to go out and rescue her because she can't find her way back, but most of the time she does quite well. In the evening when everyone is roosting I put her sister buff lace Polish, Miss Prissy, in with her for the night and they cuddle up together. She doesn't have a roost but I do have a little log in there that she gets up on every once in a while. She doesn't roost though, she has always just laid in the shavings.

So, I think as long as your girl knows where the food and water is and she seems happy, I would just let her be. She probably gets along better than you think.

I wouldn't worry. They very quickly get used to blindness. I have some half-blind roosters that do great, and one just has no eyeballs.

i have a blind hen, actually, two blind hens they are doing great but, we dont know how the got half blind...
we got them, or saved them, from a flock of about 500. the were in a room about, 16 by 16 and we saw multiple suffering chickens being trampled, or pecked at. we saw multiple dead too! i was furious at this point! i took 20 chickens and ended up getting 17 baby chicks, well now 16 because, one died from a broken neck but i saved most! i am now working on being ready and have the the materials for any chicken injures. hope all of your chickens are well!

I have 1 who is partially blind. Shes now over a year old and doing great. Once she figured out the run and coop things went find. We always put the food and water in the same spots. If they free range she always has a buddy (it's pretty cool.that her sisters understand she needs help from them) she once waited too long to get into the coop and starting crying in the run. 2 of her sisters went out and got her and led her up the ramp.intomthe coop.

I have 2 blind in one eye, one was born with it. The other one has a tumor in her eye, or it is just white. They are not on the lowest, and I don't think they really know they are blind in an eye. One hen was tilting her head to look at food, and she was facing her bad eye down.
