Help with a pop door on bottom of tractor!

What exactly are you having trouble with?
I'd guess it's just trying to use a 'not so great' pop door design(the 'floor door') in too small of a coop. Floor doors take up a lot of floor space and interfere with everything else, like roosts low to the floor.

Putting pop door in side wall of coop and extending run part of tractor to accommodate ramp is probably the best solution....but need to see what they've got with pics after the storm.

Is it possible to but the ramp on the end of the tractor extending out? Or, you can build a ramp that goes down half way then turn it back 180 degrees. Kind of like a road up a mountain. It will only take up half the space that way. You will want your ramp off the ground a few inches so it doesn’t drag when you move the tractor. I have twelve chickens and every one will walk past the bottom of the ramp then jump up to the middle of the ramp (at least 12” up) to get in the coop. How many chickens are you planning to keep?

Another option with a side door if you don’t have enough room for your ramp would be to put a 90 degree turn in your ramp so you can make it longer and a better angle.
Right...and a ramp doesn't need to go all the way to the ground, especially on a tractor.
Adult birds can jump up 16-20" easy. My ramp bottoms rest on concrete blocks set tall-wise, and most jump up beyond that.

I think we figured it out! Thanks!!

Yah.. basically.. I can't extend the run, because the darn thing is getting too heavy as it is, but we found a better configuration.. thanks!

These are all great ideas! The thing is the coop basically sits on top of the run.
