Not sure what variety or breed these are. Can someone please help? Was told they are American game fowl but they were not sold by the breeder (they had passed away, and the person selling them had no knowledge about them unfortunately) I would like to know what they might be. I wonder if maybe they are old English game? Unsure.

If anyone can tell me some determining factors regarding eliminating a variety or including one I would appreciate the tips.

Thanks in advance!

I will post more photos later. There are several more hens and a roo that came in this lot. Most are the wheaten colors but some of the hens are black and some of the wheaten ones are a little smaller then the others.

They look like pure American game fowl to me. Definitely not old English game fowl. These are often not bred by color variety but rather by strain from a particular breeder such as Hatch, Kelso, Hulsey, etc. Most of these look close to black breasted red, but the one hen is spangled. Nice looking birds! Here is a thread where you might post and get more info: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/new-gamefowl-thread.1553779/
