Help with an ingredient conversion Please!!

I have a recipe that calls for 1tsp minced onion. I don't have any minced onion but I have onion salt. Does anyone know how much onion salt to use in it's place?? The recipe also calls for 1/2 tsp of salt so I figure I could use 1/2 tsp of onion salt and call it good????
 
That would probably work.

I chop/mince and freeze onions, bell pepper, green onions, leeks, celery, and cabbage. There is no waste, you don’t have to worry about if you will use it up in time because it will keep for a year in the freezer and it’s always there when you need it.
 
I just slice it up like I’m going to make slaw, put it in freezer bags and freeze it.

I use it in stir-fries, grab some out of the bag and toss it into a pot of soup. I use it in a recipe I make with pork chops, cabbage and mushroom soup.

I’ve been thinking lately about trying it in slaw; I’ve never tried it before and it would be interesting to see how it would turn out.
