Hello, my family owns a house rooster who turns two years old this year and we are currently experiencing some worrisome traits coming from our boy. Around 10 minutes ago, we heard loud clucking from our bedroom where he was in for the hens to have some alone time. Immediately, I rushed to open the door to see him stumbling around the floor. He is struggling to balance on his own, and is just not acting like his goofy self. He is currently recovering from bumblefoot, and goes outside frequently with us, but never interacts with the wild chickens.

Maybe his foot hurts from the bumble-foot, still. :old :idunno

You don't give details,,, from his past... Like, can he possibly have Mareks?? Just because he is a house chicken does not exclude him having that disease/condition.
He could have had it from where he was hatched. Hoping its not that :hugs

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and:welcome

I can't think of why he would have Mareks. We raised him and his brother when he was just a couple days old, neither ever has shown health problems. Besides the fact that our boy ate a bee when he was a little chick... Chickens are common wild animals where we live and his brother was more aggressive, so he was able to be released so I can't speak on his health after he went on his own journey. He is doing better, his comb in the beginning was darker on the edges, but now it's all back to his original red. At first he wouldn't even take his favorite snack in the whole world, but he finally ate them just a few minutes ago.

What breed is roo?? What you describe,, almost sounds like he had a heart condition, occur. :(
Things passed and now you see improvement:love Chickens could get health issues just like other animals,,, and us humans.

He was a feral, so he doesn't exactly have a breed, but he has the grey rooster coloring. Photo attached is what the handsome guy looks like. Please mind the fact he's wearing a taco costume! That's the only fullbody photo I apparently have of him :p I sure hope it's just a one and done random thing. It's late where live, I think tomorrow we may check in with local vets to see anything else.
