Thank you, Chris. That link was very helpful

EE's are a cross breed and not a true breed.
They can have any type of comb ( Pea, Rose, Single, Walnut etc) they also can come with any color leg, lay any color egg and have any color plumage.

Chris

I am aware, but people mistakenly call a pea comb a rose comb, have seen it on an ameraucana thread before. MOST EE's have pea combs, majority used to but now I have been seeing more single combs, have yet to see someone post a pic of one with a rose comb(doesn't mean they haven't, I just haven't seen it). They used to have great beards/muffs too but now you can barely see them with what's coming out of some hatcheries

. I personally have true ameraucana and araucana and have made my own EE's, and they have all hatched with pea combs. The little bit I see in the first pic looks like it's a pea comb also. Funny thing is that 2 years ago ALL ee's had green legs, decent muff/beard and a pea comb.

Guess your luck is worse than mine, in the roo department. Good luck with your fourth one. Can't wait to hopefully get my first egg

I'm not very patient with these kinds of things.
